Mark Dement

Owner of MOAB Bike Shop, Mark Dement turned his passion into his career in 1995. Since its inception, MOAB has grown exponentially. Throughout this expansion, Mark’s focus has always been on helping people ride bikes. Regardless of skill level, budget or riding style, he is dedicated to helping everyone find the right ride for them. Whether building a pro-level electronic group on a high end carbon road bike, fine-tuning mountain bike suspension, or comfort sizing a hybrid for casual use, Mark is not only extremely skilled and experienced, but he is attentive to each customers’ individual needs. This dedication to detail and customer service is what MOAB is all about.

Xavier Solis

As manager of MOAB’s Murfreesboro location, Xavier has been with MOAB for 11 years. Equally versed in the latest bicycle technology as he is in the nuances of skate culture, he is uniquely qualified to assist customers with a wide variety of needs. Whether dialing in a performance fit or building skateboards, Xavier is always helping others and striving to improve the MOAB experience. After hours, he can be found on a mountain bike picking apart technical lines, or pushing around town on his board.

Forrest Arnold

Forrest is as equally capable of bike fits as he is at helping customers decide what ride suits them best. Always eager to improve the riding experience of others, he takes time assisting each customer in finding solutions to their riding needs. His knowledge, positive attitude and ability to help customers in any situation make him an integral member of the MOAB team. Off the clock, Forrest can be found crushing gravel on his cross bike or skating around town dialing in his tre flips.

Adam Gaskill

One of MOAB’s experienced bike mechanics Adam, also known as Coon Man, is an expert at identifying and resolving particularly tricky repair issues. His meticulous attention to detail and persistence make him indispensible to the MOAB crew. Whether restoring a vintage bicycle to working condition, or dialing in the shifting to perfection on a performance race bike, Coon Man has it handled. When he isn’t turning wrenches, he’s turning cranks on trails and gravel roads throughout middle Tennessee.

Whitney Stanborough

As a professional bicycle mechanic and master at wrapping handlebar tape, Whitney has extensive experience working on many types of bikes. Whether he’s making adjustments to a complex Di2 system or tuning up a neighborhood cruiser, his knowledge of bicycle mechanics shows in his work. When he’s off the clock, Whitney is usually exploring little known gravel roads with monster climbs dozens of miles from home.

Pat Lee

Pat’s extensive knowledge of bicycles is apparent in his ability to diagnose mechanical problems and find solutions to everyday problems and complex issues. His experience with touring and adventure riding give him a specific ability to help find practical options and solutions that improve the riding experience of others. When he’s not at the shop he can be found braving the weather with his bicycle as his primary mode of transportation, and exploring previously unknown local trails.

MOAB Franklin


As manager and mechanic at our franklin location, Jeremy Chambers has been with MOAB for 10 years and is a master of all things bicycle. Whether working on a complex Di2 build or dialing in a Pro Fit, Jeremy’s experience makes him an essential part of MOAB’s team. When he’s not in the shop, you can find him crushing through cedar glades on his cross bike or cranking out hot laps at the local trails.

Rick Harman

MOAB’s most experienced mechanic can be found building new bikes in the blink of an eye, lacing up custom wheels, or making complex repairs look like child’s play. When he isn’t fixing bikes, he can be found riding the entirety of Chickasaw Trace on one wheel.

Jordan Bannister

Jordan Bannister is one of MOAB Franklin’s skilled professional mechanics. From basic maintenance and adjustments, to suspension overhauls and high-end bike builds, Jordan’s got you covered. Whether he’s hammering out lunch rides, or railing berms and boosting airs, it’s safe to say that Jordan can handle a bike both in and out of the stand.

David Carpenter

As Customer Service Manager for MOAB Franklin, David is a master bike fit technician and is the go-to guy for all things racing. His extensive experience racing and coaching multiple disciplines of cycling give him a unique ability to aid customers in finding the right bicycle and a rider appropriate fit. Outside of shop hours, David can be found training just as hard as he works.

Andy Norris

Andy can be found at MOAB Franklin with a smile on his face. Always eager to share his experience and expertise in adventure road cycling and touring, he is always able to help others find the right ride for their adventure. Off the job, Andy can be found attacking dirt roads in the woods of Hickman County.

Patrick Kopiwada

Whether he’s building new bikes or helping customers with a smile, you can always find Patrick with a great attitude and desire to help others. Outside work, he can be found crushing lunch laps and riding trails on his cross bike.

Benjamin Bynum

Benjamin has years of bicycle mechanics experience and it shows in his work. You can find him at the shop with a smile on his face and a wrench in his hand. From tune-ups to new bike builds, Benjamin can handle whatever you throw at him. When he’s off the clock, Benjamin can be found adventuring via cross bike or writing and recording music in his mobile recording studio.

Joey T

As MOAB’s newest team member, Joey has years of bicycle shop experience making him perfectly suited for helping customers find the bike best suited for them. To ensure a proper fit on the bicycle, he takes each customer’s needs in mind. Joey’s enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge make him a welcome addition to the MOAB crew.
