A couple of weekends ago a few shop employees embarked on a weekend bikepacking trip. After a Saturday’s full workload we packed our bikes and ventured out in to the dark towards our destination. We headed out to an undisclosed location amongst the hollows of Cannon County with tents, and supplies in tow. A couple of hours later, we had reached our destination. A route filled with pavement, gravel, dirt, single track – and it wouldn’t be a MOAB ride without a creek crossing or two. With a Cat 4 gravel climb in the final few miles of our route – no one would be setting any PR’s with a 50 lb bike – setting up camp, a fire, and eating dinner was a fitting reward. We kicked it in the cold by the fire while we ate, and eventually hit the hay in the wee hours of the morning. The trip and the terrain was certainly a test of our machines, thanks to the MOAB Adventure section, our bikes – gear and all – passed with flying colors. Make sure to check out the pictures below and stop by the either of our locations in Murfreesboro or Franklin to prepare for your next weekend excursion.
